Unlike photo stitching snapDV operates with only a single click by the user, and produces images free from badly stitched edges, from different shading on each frame, and from lighting variations and artefacts caused by people/objects moving in the field of view.
QinetiQ video mosaicing avoids the need to capture individual frames by hand and faithfully reproduces sweeping panoramas, group photographs and wide angled 'wish you were here' images - in the pub, on the beach, at parties etc.
